Residential Development on Existing Vacant Block.
Kimmel Addition is a single-family residential subdivision located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As the lead civil engineer for this project, I was responsible for providing comprehensive land development services from concept through final approval. Brady’s role included drafting the preliminary plat and securing necessary approvals from both the City of Oklahoma City’s Public Works and Planning Departments.
Key aspects of the Kimmel Addition project included:
Preliminary Plat & Approvals: Brady created and submitted the preliminary plat for the subdivision, ensuring compliance with local zoning regulations and securing approval from the city’s planning authorities.
Public Utility Design: Brady designed and drafted detailed plans for public utilities, including water and sewer systems, which were submitted and approved by Public Works to meet Oklahoma City’s standards.
Grading & Drainage Plans: Brady developed grading and drainage plans to ensure proper site preparation, stormwater management, and compliance with the city’s drainage ordinance. These plans were integral in maintaining the safety and sustainability of the development.
Flood Study: A critical part of the project was conducting a flood study to assess potential downstream flooding impacts caused by the subdivision. The study was performed to meet Oklahoma City’s requirements for stormwater management and was approved by Public Works.
As a trusted civil engineer specializing in land development in Oklahoma and Texas, I offer proven solutions to residential and commercial projects, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with local regulations.
